When God's Word Ain't Enough

I've been away from my blog for quite a while now but I am compelled to write again simply because of the many things that are already rapidly enfolding before us today. I cannot continue to keep silent when the devil is working double time to deceive an entire world into perdition!

Second hand Word

In the past couple of weeks, biblical prophecies are lining up like crazy before the believer's and watchman's eyes. Everyone who looks for the return of the King of kings are excited as they are scared for the lost world. Many of God's people are now sounding the alarm (yet again) for the rest of the world to "BE READY" for the Lord's return. For billions of Catholics around the world, however, that reality of Christ's return has been turned into a fantasy.

Just recently, Pope Benedict XVI gave a message to the rest of the Catholic world that Jesus never talked about His LITERAL return

Now, I have to point out that it has always been the call of the Magisterium that the laity (or common individuals not ordained into priesthood) do not have the capacity to understand Scripture and that they NEED their spiritual leaders--priests, bishops and the Pope--to tell them exactly what the Word of God means.

It has always been like programmed messaging where the faithful get bombarded by subtle messages that suggest the Bible to be DIFFICULT to understand. Now, many may say, "I don't believe it because the Magisterium never said anything like that!"

Well, here's the quote from the Pope himself...

On this last Sunday of the liturgical year, Jesus’ discourse about the end times (in technical terms, his “eschatological” discourse) is proclaimed at Mass (cf. Mark 13:24-32). This discourse is also found, with some variations, in Matthew and Luke, and it is probably the most difficult text in the Gospels. - Pope Benedict XVI (Source: Zenit.com)
The Vatican has always made it a point to keep people away from God's Word and for billions of faithful to settle only for the "SECOND-HAND WORD." It's like a mind game played over and over so as to convince you that reading and understanding God's Word is TRULY A DIFFICULT TASK.

Indeed, many fall into this programming. I know this as true because I once believed in it as well. I once believed that I cannot really sit down and study the Bible myself because it is too confusing (I could lose my mind) and too difficult to understand. I used to believe that I really NEEDED the help of the Pope to define for me what the Word of God says.

Unfortunately for many, that mindset only leads to trouble. It only leads to IGNORANCE of God's Truth which can be found and read FIRST-HAND in the Bible today. And unfortunately for many, ignorance to ANY law is never an EXCUSE.

God's Truth in His Word: The Plumb Line of ALL Teachings

"Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth." (John 17:17, KJV)

God's Word is TRUTH. It is forever, it is infallible, it is final, it is Truth. No wonder that we can read verses like the following which always POINTS US BACK TO GETTING INTO THE WORD OURSELVES!

"Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." (2 Timothy 2:15)

The apostle Paul even talked highly of the Bereans because of their ATTITUDE toward Scriptures.

"These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so." (Acts 17:11)

"All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousnessThat the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works." (2 Timothy 3:16-17)

The Truth First-hand

Although the Catholic church teaches its faithful that the Bible is difficult to read and understand, God's Word simply rises up and tells one otherwise. Although the Pope points out that the Gospels are difficult to read, the Word of God simply rises to clarify things and TELLS US THAT WE MUST INDIVIDUALLY study and search Scriptures to test the things that we are being taught.

So, what about Jesus' return?

The Pope already suggested that God's Word is difficult to understand, but he does not end there. No. He continues on with what he does best--to twist and corrupt Scripture--as he goes on to say,

Jesus says: “The sky and the earth will pass away but my words will not pass away” (Mark 13:31). In fact, we know that in the Bible the word of God is at the origin of creation: all creatures, starting with the cosmic elements – sun, moon, sky – obey God’s Word, they exist insofar as they are “called” by it. This creative power of the divine Word (“Parola”) is concentrated in Jesus Christ, the Word (“Verbo”) made flesh, and also passes through his human words, which are the true “sky” that orients the thought and path of man on earth. For this reason Jesus does not describe the end of the world and when he uses apocalyptic images he does not conduct himself like a “visionary.” On the contrary, he wants to take away the curiosity of his disciples in every age about dates and predictions and wishes instead to give them a key to a deep, essential reading, and above all to indicate the right path to take, today and tomorrow, to enter into eternal life. (Source: Zenit.com)
It is interesting to note that the Pope did not believe that the passages we read in Mark 13 pertains to a time when the world will LITERALLY experience the wrath of God and second coming of the Son of God!

One simply has to read the book of Revelation, especially chapters 19-22, to know that John's visions clearly show a LITERAL TRIBULATION PERIOD and RETURN OF JESUS from heaven!

"11And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. 12His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. 13And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. "
(Revelation 19:11-13)

But not only that, but during the ascension of CHRIST into heaven, two angels TESTIFIED that He WILL BE RETURNING TO EARTH!

"And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight. 10And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; 11Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven." (Acts 1:9-11)

When God's Word Ain't Enough

The moment you give in to the lie that God's Word isn't enough for you to learn the Truth and learn from it first-hand, then you are simply giving room for blind and deceptive spiritual leaders to lead you on to the broad way that leads to death.

Only through your personal reading and studying of God's Word will the LIES of the devil be exposed. I pray that you will SEEK GOD'S TRUTH and SEEK THE LORD while He may be found. The world is changing and changing really fast, beloved. The Lord Jesus is returning soon... LITERALLY. Will you continue to listen to deceptive lies? Or will you run to Jesus and let HIM teach you of His Ways.

"The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul:
the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple."
(Psalm 19:7)

"Your word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path." (Psalm 119:105)
